What do you need to offer Sowerby?

You will:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience working in audit in practice, be ACCA / ACA part-qualified, qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Be comfortable dealing with clients with turnover from £11m to £65m.
  • Focus on delivering statutory and specialist audit services to a broad portfolio of clients.
  • Have regular contact with clients, often visiting client sites to conduct audit activities.
  • Complete audit testing whilst also reviewing an element of junior colleagues’ work and encourage prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
  • Use accounting software to prepare and finalise audit files in readiness for review.
  • Have analytical skills, pay attention to detail and have the ability to think laterally, meaning you are capable of identifying potential problems and providing solutions.
  • Show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of issues from start to finish.
  • Contribute to the firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
  • Be confident looking after clients. You’ll know when to pick up the phone, offer to visit them or just say “Hi, how are you?”
  • Either be experienced in IRIS and Caseware or willing and ready to learn.
