What do you need to offer Sowerby?

You will:

  • Have at least 2 years’ experience in practice, be AAT qualified, ACCA / ACA part-qualified or qualified by experience
  • Be able to prepare Management accounts for various companies
  • Be comfortable analysing and reviewing financial data to produce accurate and relevant reports
  • Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgeting
  • Calculate covenants test
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Be looking to advise clients and build a relationship beyond their monthly accounts
  • Have analytical skills, pay attention to detail and have the ability to think laterally, meaning you are capable of identifying potential problems and providing solutions
  • Show initiative, exercise judgement and take ownership of issues from start to finish
  • Be confident looking after clients. You’ll know when to pick up the phone, offer to visit them or just say “Hi, how are you?”
  • Either be experienced in IRIS or willing and ready to learn
  • Have competent IT skills, including MS Office. Will be confident with Excel lookups, pivot tables etc.
